Mary Ann Cheney, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Northwest Hills Youth and Family provides counseling services and conducts psycho-educational, socialization and support groups for youth and their families in Watertown, New Milford, Norfolk and the surrounding areas. We also develop and coordinate prevention and resiliency programs for youth within these communities. We are developing diversion programs in conjunction with local law enforcement to keep our youth out of the criminal justice system. The Youth & Family Service staff work together to provide a variety of individual, family and group services, which enhance communication, self-esteem, and positive decision-making in our communities youth and support a stronger family system.
We take a collaborative and strengths-based approach to counseling, working with families to identify and build upon their unique strengths and resources. Our goal is to empower families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Mary Ann is a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive experience working as an in-home child, adolescent, couples and family therapist. Mary Ann engages with the entire system to be able see all sides and act as bridge to appropriate and expressive communication and healing.
Jessica is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric medication management. Jessica works with a vast population from children to adults with varying diagnoses.
Rebecca is a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist who works in office and on-line treating clients with PTSD and substance use disorders.
Kali is a Licensed Clinical Social worker who has been working in the field of mental health and addiction since 2014. She is driven by the belief that healing is an intrinsic human capability; Kali guides her clients on a transformative journey towards self-discovery and empowerment. Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), she integrates these modalities into her practice, recognizing their efficacy in addressing complex trauma and facilitating deep emotional healing that promotes overall wellbeing.
Through her therapeutic interventions, she fosters an environment of trust and understanding, where individuals feel safe to explore their innermost struggles and vulnerabilities. Kali's approach is holistic, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. Drawing from evidence-based practices and her own intuitive wisdom, she tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Kali’s approach to treatment is that every setback is seen as an opportunity for healing, and every individual is viewed through the lens of their inherent potential. With her unwavering dedication and belief in the power of human resilience, she continues to inspire hope and facilitate healing in the lives of those she serves.
Jordan is a Licensed Professional Councilor
We work with our families to help support getting those who would benefit their driver's permit and driver's license through financial and logistic support.
We work with out families to ensure they have stable housing. Work to help find resources for security deposits and rental assistance.
Help our families when they are in need of food, clothing and daily sundry items. Work to support the family in find the appropriate social service supports.
We offer finical help to our families that cannot afford their co-pays and the cost of sessions when their deductibles have not been met. This is on a sliding scale basis but allows us to offer services to families that would otherwise be excluded due to finical reasons.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
